Capreol Heritage Days including Capreol's 90th Birthday celebrations.
It's that time of year again and plans are coming together for the Capreol
Heritage Days (August 1rst - 4th)
This year we are celebrating the 90th Anniversary of Capreol and as such we
have some big, new events. We are hosting a Model Train and Hobby Show on the Saturday and Sunday. This will not only showcase some wonderful hobbies but also reflects the history of our town. Check it out at www.railroadtown.ca
Other events will include a Much Music Video Dance (Friday evening), A Birthday Beach Party dance (Saturday evening) featuring Cold Crush. Returning will be the Town Wide Yard Sale and Flea Market (Saturday morning), the Capreol Battle of the Bands www.angelfire.com/band2/battle03 , the Capreol Youth Artsfest (Saturday & Sunday), entertainment and games at Ella Lake (Monday) and a host of other events for the whole family.

The Capreol Police Storefront is looking for volunteers to work two hour shifts each week. This is a great way for high school students to do their volunteer hours while serving their community. Applications are available at the storefront next to the fire hall, Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. until noon. Seniors wishing a morning check up call from volunteers can call 858-1400 for information. |
